![]() We value a great community, which I know that we have. The great thing about our all of our locations around the country, is that you can take your bike with you anywhere and have it serviced or meet up with other Pedego owners and go on rides. While yes our customer is generally older, they are educated and do know more about the product than the average customer (they do their research before making a purchase). They are owned and operated by people that love the product and enjoy e-biking. ![]() We have a large PEDEGO (check link for awesome videos) dealer network throughout the country that specialize in and sell Pedego Electric Bikes. We don't sell to IBD's and we only sell to a few eIBD's (Electric Bikes LA / Crazy Lennys). Radpower is a better company without a doubt, and you would probably be fine with that bike. Not to mention the price, you can get actual high performance ebikes for that price. I would not recommend supporting a company with a business model rooted in tricking people, who knows what other shady stuff they do. And the people buying ebikes in these shops are often not savvy either, they are a generally older crowd that doesn't research as much and puts a lot of value in the notion that the bike shop can provide in-person support for that model (which is probably less likely than they are assuming depending on the issue, but not altogether untrue). Traditionally their models have used the oldest designs like rear mounted batteries, but the dealer discounts were so large shops buy from them anyway.Ī lot of bike shops are not savvy enough about ebikes to know what is the best deal for their customers so they just go with the company offering the largest discounts, apparently ignorant that's a discount on overinflated retail price. This strategy allowed them to develop a vast dealer network and do remarkable sales volume, one of the highest in the country. Pedego is overpriced because their business model works on the basis of a jacked up MSRP then big discounts on this price to retail brick and mortar bike shops.
